Sebastian Lake District in England

The Lake District National Park is one of fourteen National parks in the United Kingdom. It lies in Cumbria, and is one of England's few mountainous regions. All the land in England higher than three thousand feet above sea level lies within the Park. The Lakes, as the region is also called, were made famous during the early 19th century by the poetry and writings of William Wordsworth.

More than 2000 square kilometres of mountains, moorland, lakes, valleys and coastline make this the largest of England’s National Parks. The landscape ranges from the moor-like fells north of Keswick to the rocky crags of Central Lakeland.

In England there are nine, in Wales three and in Scotland two nationalparks.
